CASE Awards
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) holds regional and national awards for marketing and communications, and Utah Magazine has brought home top honors in both.
CASE National Circle of Excellence
Most Improved Grand Gold Winner
Award text excerpt: “Forward-thinking design; this layout is current and modern. Pushing the traditional format of college publications, the typography in University of Utah’s magazine is unique, and the atypical page size makes it stand out.”

Content Marketing World Awards
Every year, Content Marketing World holds one of the largest marketing conferences and awards programs in the world, attracting businesses and nonprofits such as Mazda, ExxonMobil, the AARP, and thousands of others. Utah Magazine not only beat publications in higher education, but also went head-to-head against top marketing agencies and Fortune 100 companies and came out on top.
Golden Spike Awards
Best Print Publication (Nonprofit)
The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) hosts a statewide award competition, honoring the best in communications from across Utah.
MarCom Awards
Platinum Award – Print
Platinum Award – Digital
This competition honors excellence in marketing and communications. There are two tiers of awards—gold (the lower tier) and platinum (the higher tier). Utah Magazine received the Platinum Award. Other entrants include Johnson & Johnson, Hilton, and Honda.
Ragan PR Daily Nonprofit Awards
Ragan PR Daily is a public relations organization that holds conferences and trainings and is a source of news for PR professionals. Other entrants included PBS SoCal, the Texas Better Business Bureau, and the Children’s Miracle Network.
Society of Publication Designers
Utah Magazine is an SPD 56 Merit Award Winner in two categories: feature and cover.
UCDA Awards
These honors are judged by a hand-picked panel of peer jurors composed of designers, design educators, photographers, and illustrators working in or doing a significant portion of their work for educational institutions, and Utah Magazine has been awarded more than a dozen times for design, photography, and illustration.
